I love this place. I tend to get takeout here and it’s consistently been great quality and extremely friendly and prompt service. In the past I’ve always gotten their poke, which from what I’ve tried in the area is my favorite around. I appreciate that they include a good amount of fresh vegetables. This was my first time trying their sushi and I was very happy with the quality of it.
While walking through Washington in the spring, we were happy to find this spot for lunch. The happy hour specials pleasantly surprised us with their variety and reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and attentive, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Thank you!
This place had the friendliest and best service that I have ever experienced. The lady who served us was infectiously happy and equally helpful navigating the menu and ordering. The food was fresh and tasted great. Only regret was that we went here at the end of our week, so we didn’t have time for a second trip. Thank you for the best meal we experienced in DC!
Call me spoiled. We've now experienced the best poke ever. We live in Rockville and we were in DC to visit Smash Records, We were hungry and we are vegetarian so poke was an obvious choice. Not only are the ingredients of the poke here very satisfying, with seaweed salad, many pickled ingredients, delicious tofu, and Hawaiian spicy mayonnaise plus many other ingredients and sauces, I mean very many, but the flavors were exquisite! We're spoiled. This is now our go-to for poke and we live 40 minutes away. Okay, worth it. We're now fans of Joint Custody records shop, Smash Records, and especially Hilo Poke & Sushi.
I adore the Philadelphia roll here and totally recommend it! It’s easily my favourite in DC. The restaurant is very generous with their portion sizes as well.
The sweet potato rolls will change your life!!! Made fresh, tasty, decent portions, and a great price!!! They were so good I had to eat some before I could take the pic. I'll be back
Hilo Poke & Sushi is such a great neighborhood spot. I love stopping in and grabbing poke. Everyone has been so welcoming and nice every time, especially M who told me about happy hour. Finally had time to stop in early enough for happy hour and it is such a steal- $5 for rolls, beer, appetizers, and $2 for 2 pieces nigiri. Highly recommend stopping in or getting take out.
